Hey everyone,
I just bought a 95 MX3 and everything is stock on it. I figured since this is a MX-3 site that i could get some good advice on how to upgrade my car. I was wondering what the best sounding and best performance exhaust is for the mx-3. Also if anyone else has any good tips on where i should start with tuning my car, let me know. thanks

No sir, not a mx-3 site. The mx-3 site.

Haha, welcome. I highly suggest you dig around and see some of the worklogs and FAQs on the site, they'll give you some awesome ideas. I think there are a few threads open if you do a search for exhaust or muffler, some of which contain sound clips of different setups. Trinity Motorsports is also starting up, offering prefab exhaust setups for our cars.

Just get it custom done. No companies really make MX-3 exhausts and the ones that do are overpriced. Go out and get a 2.25" exhaust and a BP-DE motor to start.

BPZE. DE sucks nuts for the same price. Escort GT, Protege LX are the common carriers of the BPZE.

BPDE is the non performance version of the BPZE.
BPDE came in protege es
BPZE came in escort gt, miata, protege lx(gt in us, right?) and a few others. tracers, sephias... the list is in wikipedia.

Exhaust from a 350Z ... They sound awsome. I wonder if the mx-3 can sound that way.

The VQ motor just has a distinct sound. Like our v6's.

Here is what it should sound like:

Not to bad IMO
