I hear Exedy is great but theyre alot of money for the upper stages. And I got ACT 6 puck with Xtreme Pressure Plate on my RX-7 and I love it. Was alittle stiff at first but I got used to it quick and I can never have too much power for it to handle. Its good for 612 ft/lbs of torque. I wouldnt recommend eBay brands at all. I had a stage 3 from eBay and in a year it was slipping already with just a ZE and bolt-ons that wasnt even driven hard much.

Act, Exedy, Bully, Clutchmaster, Spec. Those are the ones that I know are good.

ACT pressure plates are too stiff and can shear off the pivot for the clutch fork.... just ask gro harlem about that....

you can also mix match, use an act disc with a CM pp or whatever

Lol, never heard of that. I've heard alot of praise about ACT when i did my ZE swap, I wanted to go with them but they sold me on a Bully and I was very pleased with mine.

Well, at least you can't say it's a POS and will slip and become useless after a few months.

Spec/CM/Bully/Exedy/ACT --- > I hear nothing but good things
Centerforce --- > So-So, I had two of em and they held up but could have been better
F1 Racing/eBay special --- > CRAP

I ordered a 110$ Exedy probe clutch for my project here based on awesome reviews. I will see how it holds up!

I've actually heard that also from the RX7 guys, I bought a new one and installed it when installing the clutch because of that. They kept telling me older worn out clutch forks break under the pressure.

I've got an ACT "stage 1" clutch in my Mx-3, SUPER stiff. I learned how to drive a stick on this clutch and when I drove my friends probe I was like o_O whoaaa squishyyyy, wasnt expecting it. Good clutch, seems to be able to take whatever I throw at it and not slip.

Had a Clutchmasters stage 1 in my DE and it gripped like a b.astard, even after some REALLY hard driving. If the stage 1 did was well as it did, I could imagine the stage 2 and 3 to really kick some a--.

ACT 6 puck, everything else stock. This should be plenty of holding power even if
your plans include boost. Peddle feel will be stock with a little more grip when engaging.
That is my setup on an MX-6 DE on 10lbs of boost.

this sounds like a good clutch but stock feel does not interest me. i want insta-engage lol

What I'm saying is you can have the best of both worlds.
Insta-engage when you want to invest in a new set of tires
or something that will not snap your passengers necks.
There are at least a half dozen owners with this setup, boosted.
I'm sure it can handle anything a N/A ze can throw at it.

Throw a heavy duty pressure plate in the equation and let her rip.
