wipers-bad motor?

with just the drivers side wiper i can take it and move or pivot it like 3 or 4 inches. ive taken the retainer bolt off, and pulled the wiper arm off, and then cleaned it, thinking there was sumthing on it that wasnt letting it get on and hold it tight. then i reinstalled it and put it on nice and tight, but it still moves. im pretty sure its moving the motor arm its attached to,so would that mean that the motor is pretty much shot? thanks for the help
