Some history: I drive about 70 miles a day, and about every other day, the CEL comes on for a few minutes on the freeway, when I'm at a steady speed. It has done the codes for FPR, and both O2 sensors, but not always at the same time. Sometimes, it sputters, and I let off the gas, then rev, and it clears up. I've got a FPR on the way, and will replace it as soon as it gets here, and have already replaced the sensors, and will replace the fuel filter today..
My question is would you drag race your car if this was happening? It feels like it still pulls at about 90%. There are 5 of us (MX-3s) going, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to resist the urge to race.
I would change the oil the next day.
HELP! Should I race with faulty FPR?

Under full throttle your car will lean out because of the bad fpr.
Your car needs FUEL !! In my opinion you would only damage your engine with it.

That's what I am afraid of. I won't take the chance.

Ooh Ooh, gimee gimme!
Yeah, It's at the very end of the rail, where the fuel line goes in. It costs over $100.

I would get an aftermarket FPR instead of spending 100$ on a stock one.
