BOSH Oxygen sensor wiring

Just to clarify.. I searched and searched got a thread but not detailed.

BOSH o2 sensor

for the 92/93 mx3 GS OBD1

LK - Heater Ground
BLK/BLU - Signal Ground
WHI/RED - Heater Supply
RED/BLU - Signal (Left Sensor)
WHITE - Signal (Right Sensor)

Now on the sensor

WHITE = Heater negative or positive
WHITE = Heater negative or positive
BLACK= Ground
GREY= Ecu signal

-----

Also IF you get the heater element wrong.. you will get the code 15. Heater has to be correctly connected. It DOES matter. Bosh does not label the heater positive and negative.

Hope this helps a lost soul like I was.

Are you sure that is right? It is usually the other way around in universal sensors - Black is signal and Grey is ground

I did a post on O2 sensors, if you search it it may help. My question is why buy Bosch and why buy universal. Denso is the factory sensor and the part number is easy to find. Rockauto probably has it cheap enough. I feel the O2 sensor is too important an item to go universal if the OEM part is available. The part number is probably right on the sensor. Here's a part number cross reference web site if you'd like to have a look. http://home.att.net/~ngksparkplugs/wsb/ ... e_Rev1.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You should have a blue, 2 black, and a white on the oem sensor. The bosch has a black, 2 white, and a gray.

Blue to Black

2 Black to 2 white

White to Gray

This is for O2 closest to radiator. Im installing mine tomorrow because of code 15, along with D side window motor and regulator.

I'm still curious. Why are you using Bosch and not Denso?

Some places did not carry Denso so I went with the Bosch, and I was not going to order the Denso off the web because of the shipping and the delivery time.

Oh ok. I ordered from Rockauto. Had them in three days just for info. Actually a Bosch tech rep found me a part number for my 96 that I cross refered to Denso but Denso when asked left me hanging. Bosch beats Denso hands down when it comes to support.
