Post by fieromx3 »

so ya... im havin hard time findin a part...does anyone here have a wiring harness that uses 2 wires for ur crank sensor? if u have 2 wires on ur harness howm any wires are on the actual crank sensor its self?

lol Duncan, why did you post this in off topic? General Mx-3 would be been fine.

The Blue/Green and Blue/Yellow wires are signal wires and the third wire (Black/Light Green) is for the shield which goes to ground.

The Blue/Light Green wire *may* be internally shorted to the Blue/Yellow wire.

If your sensor has 3 wires measure resistance between the wires - if a pair of wires show 520-580 ohms - then you can use those two wires as the signal. If a pair of wires show zero ohms then you can probably tie them both together.

It seems mazda changed to a 2 wire sensor in 94+ models...
