This is the Group Buy thread for the cluster rings - designed manufactured and distributed by Ryan Thomson, proud MX3 owner.

Where to start...

The Info

The cluster rings are rings made of plexiglass, not lexan.

The bad
-They fit inside the bezel of the MX3 quite nicely, but may require some tacking to get to stick during those bumps in the road.
-Aftermarket bezels may require some sanding of the bezel or rings.
The good
-Cheaper than Ebay, just as nice, and from the community
-Ver2.0 do NOT interfere with cluster at all, not even needles.
-Ver2.0 fit better than ver1.0

The EULA
Ryan Thomson, of Kleefeld Manitoba, offers said item 'as is.' He will provide refunds only on severe disappointment. The end user will attempt to make said rings pretty before complaining. The end user acknowledges and accepts that some work is required on his/her part in order to finish the rings to his/her standards.

Ryan will not be accountable for:
Broken rings caused by 'testing how far they bend'
Any other way you manage to FUBAR them.

Ryan will be accountable for:
Shipping damage

Mooneggs, npspears, MazdaManiacmx3, MazdaNut08, zzoom and SuperK have requested and I'm organizing it all. I wish you would all just use your real names it would be so much easier.

No lipless left, and I'm not sure how many regular lipped are left. Most likely zero whole perfect sets.

Okay guys.

GB revival.

I have access and time to use my machines again! I'm pretty pumped. I've got at least three extra requests that I can remember off hand. It seems after they showed up in worklogs some extra interest was sparked.

First things first, those who bought them already, could you leave some feedback so I can make them better?

Moon, how are the lipless? Have you seen lipped for a comparison? Which would one prefer?

I know they are too thick and the needles catch on the tach and speedo (approx 3krpm?)

I know now how to best remove the tabs and polish myself in an efficient manner.

I'm gonna figure Jeff is okay with this all, since he okayed it before, and I'll contiune to do the donation deal... Maybe I'll e-mail him again anyway.

Okay, Progress!

Rings Ver1.1.NCD is complete!! I can run the program as I get material.

Luckly, my buddy walked in and was like
"our class has a LOT of that stuff lying around that no one uses"

so... I have material

I have only completed a speedo ring to useable condition, and I WOULD check if they hit needles, but I clipped mine... so I may be sending it to someone close by. Daninski, feeling up to it?

Okey doke.

My program runs fine... but my router.... has issues.

It was incorrectly built using servos instead of.... I forget, but its using the wrong type of motors. Throughout the program, is slowly gets off zero, so the rings become ever so slightly lopsided. This ticks me off. I need to run smaller individual programs so I can correct the zero-ing inbetween.

Okay, I'm shipping a set to Danny on Saturday. Once he gives me the O.K. (don't touch needles, for sure ) I can start shipping out. I have 2 sets ready. The plastic backing is giving me problems though, but I'll figure it out

So... I have two more perfect clear sets up for grabs... I can also make more, for another two or so weeks.

I'm only asking $10-15 shipped in either USD or CAD... prefer CAD though.

Nice upgrade for our boring clusters......

Oh, and I have a set of misfits, if anyone wants it. $5 shipped. You'd need to trim your speedo needle, and they will all sit at slightly different heights. +/- 1.5mm. Not that you'd notice a whole lot.
