mx3 no hatch?

Post by tmac4t4 »

so this is my idea..i really like the look of the honda del sols..mainly the concept of 2 seater/open roof...and after some time well wasted staring at my mx,,i wondered, what would it look like without the hatch  ..now i know with just removing the hatch its not going to look to great..what i was thinking was painting the black plastic panals, like the speeker covers and and basically any interior peices that would be visible..id paint them to match the exterior of the car, for a nice clean look..has anybody thaught of this, or better yet done this already?!...the only issue i could see is the whole open trunk thing,,i was even thinking of fabricating up a fiberglass cover, similar to the stock one that hangs from the hatch, which would also be painted to match..

if i wanted a honda, id buy a honda...but considering the prices of del sols its still cheeper to do this mod..however i love my mx3 the way it is,and im more interested in it being hatchless than having a hatch from another car..i just think they should have had the option from the factory is all, not that there is anything wrong with the way it looks now it just looks that much better, IMO. besides i gota admit honda was onto something by makin the del sol strictly 2 seater..its not like our backseats serve any other pupose than to "look" functional
