While on the US-41 dragway website, I got to remembering and even more famous one: Us-30 dragstrip. As I was little, my parets used to drive by it and tell me that a dragstrip used to be "there." Recently when my knowledge grew, my dad recieved a DVD of reflection of the great track. We watched it, and he told me stories about how he used to race his Galaxy 500 there. I've been informed that a popular performance autoparts store purchased the land where the track remains still stand. Vansenus, a popular place in Hammond and Highland Indiana bought it. Maybe they plan to restore the track to its former glory, or maybe not.

I came across this article about the track. It has a comparisson between past and present, its really something to read. http://www.lostindiana.net/html/us_30_drag_strip.html If you guys are interested in reading abouta historic dragstrip, then this read is for you. I hope you enjoy!

(Sorry if this in the wrong spot, but it is 'Dragstrip' oriented even though its a history of a track and not a race)
