a sohc and a dohc air flow senser are different.. can any one help me with the rewire the sohc has 6 wires and the dohc has 5 wires and the http://www.mx-3.com/manuals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; only shows the colors and not what they do and the sohc is not even there for rewire info

p.s. the 1990-1993 chilton's repair manual is not for a sohc it is for a dohc v6

Its not as simple as rewiring - the electronic principle is different. The SOHC uses a spring loaded vane that moves with the airflow to measure air. The DOHC has a heater element in the airflow path and measures the amount of heat removed from that element as an indication of airflow. You cannot just interchange them without changing all the electronics that go with them (which is built into the ECU).

then would there ba a way to bipas it or to increase the airflow at all

You can either swap a MAF from rx-7 or you can get a standalone EMS with a MAP sensor.....

i found a thing on ebay and i asked how to hook it up and this is what they sent me

and what year rx-7 would work , and by standalone EMS with a MAP sensor do you meen a after market or send it to a place like jets
