intercooler piping questions.

Post by se7en »

Okay, I am finally installing my FMIC.

I am wondering what I would need for piping..I am about to order the piping from ebay....

I figure I will need 6-45degree bends, two straight pipes, and one wavy pipe to go to the Throttle body...

Is there any v6 mazda turbo guys that have any advice here?

I myself made the Mistake of buying a fmic the had the inlet on the lower left and the outlet on the lower right. (typical style)
This was a huge mess which resulted in about 4 feet of total piping :( dumba$$ move
I dont remember the exact dimensions of my intercooler but it did mount perfect with my Kmax front bumper looks amazing

For functionality i would used a stock side mount style the k8 turbo video on you tune looks real efficient..

Most common would be a normal front mount with the inlet and outlet on the left side

Idk if this is what you were looking for but hope it helps

Pics of my front mount ;)

btw...I have the same intercooler as you :( kinda would be easier if the inlet and outlet were on the same side lol
