So I will be swaping a BPT GTR into my 94 DOHC MX3, I have a transmission question... I will be getting a G series tranny from a 91 protege lx as the many posts on this site state would be the best way to go... I was wondering... can i use the GTR stock flywheel (AWD) with the protege tranny (FWD)? or will i have to get a matching one out of the same year protege or a lighter aftermarket one? and.... is there really significant difference between a stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 clutch kits?

Cheers
Steve

Pretty sure you cant use the AWD flywheel as for its a different tranny.

Yes you can use the awd flywheel if you use the awd clutch. Its what im using now for a year and grabs hard still using a used gtx clutch. If you use a pro lx clutch ull need a pro lx flywheel.

get the slightly beefier KIA g-series tranny

I have broken 2-3 mazda g-series compared

to just 1 kia g-series trans.
