Testing new parts...

Post by fowljesse »

Wouldn't it be great if we had a fund for a trustworthy person to try different things, new parts, etc..? It could go something like this;
When someone posts "Does anyone know if this works?", we could vote to see if it's worth trying, then put a few bucks each into a fund, and give it to someone trustworthy to buy the thing, and test it. If it works, the whole community would benifit.
I know.. It's a dream.
We could talk to the manufacturer about getting a test part for a discount, with the assurance that if it worked, people here would buy it.
Power in numbers!

If it did happen, I would think it would be one of the old schooler mx3.commers, who have proven a good rep. Especially someone who has access to a dyno, and/ or connection to aftermarket companies, CorkSport, etc..

If enough people were into it, we could just send a few bucks each to poeple who spend their own $$, and prove if something works, or not.

Who has free accesss to a dyno?

there's dyno in town but Im not sure how many people here trust me, I know fowljesse does since he invited me over and said I can stay there in his R/V for the party/meet. I usually just work for whatever parts I need, its not complicated that way... :D

Mr. eggs would be a great choice. He does have plenty of learnins and both a gs and rs. Although I believe the rs was not supposda' be getting the "after market treatment"

I have never met the guy or claim know him... but I'd lend him my car if he was in town.

how did I miss this thread?! I got nominated and didn't even know it LOL :oops:

and I actually have 2 mx-3 GS... I don't have much experience with the RS models...

I'm hoping my influence is great enough that we will have 4 or 5 primered mx-3's running around this area :mrgreen:

I'm biased, though, toward Mooneggs, because He lives close enough to me, Cjthor (another old schooler), and stereoking15, and we could combine our efforts.
