hey everyone i have a few questions, i just put my DE with kl31 cams, ZE 10.1 pistions, in my 92 mx.. i also put in an mx6 ecu and vaf, but im having some issues, sometimes when i get on it it feels like it sputters a little bit in the high rpms, and when i idle at times my idle bounces a lot and i can feel a big pulsation in my brake peddle, andif i go to take off slow hen its doing that the car will buck.. and not to mention im getting like 6mpg... other htan that she is fun haha... also my front o2 sensor is not hooked up the clip was melted when i bought the car and i need to get a new one, but anyadvice would be appricated.. i also sprayed spots where there could be a vaccum leak wiht starter fluid to see if i could get a rev and find it , and there was nothing....

aslo on a side note... with the mx6 motor mounts work in my mx3?

Fix that first. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the root of your problem. Your 02 sensors aren't just there for looks and for emissions, they're there to tell the ECU what the motor is doing. A old 02 sensor can cause poor milleage and misfires, I don't know what a missing 02 would do, but I would suspect it to cause alot of problems.

No, you have an Mx-3, so you need Mx-3 (v6) mounts. You can use the Probe front mount with some modifications to the crossmember, I would assume that it would be the same mount with the Mx-6 ones, but the mounts, will bolt to the motor, but they're setup to me mounted in an Mx-6 chassis so they mostly won't work; the Mx-3 shares the chassis with the 323 and Protege.

yeha the o2 not being hooked up could more then likely be the prob lol. Im thinking of doing the same swap. how much did you get the pistons for and where?

You answered your questions in your post....

Take and get your JE50 MAF back in there and chip your K8 ECU with a Probinator chip and trust me it will run 100% better night and day difference. All your sputtering/pulsating peddle/bucking.

And not having a O2 sensor doesn't help either...

Are you also using the kl02 vaf from the probe. You need that with the klde ecu. Also the vris doesn;t operate correctly in an mx3 with that ecu. There is some funky wiring between the 2 cars that doesn't allow it to work properly. The best solution is to get a K8 ecu and have it chipped. Also the o2 sensor not being hooked up is an issue. I would also make sure both of them are good. Perhaps replace them. Have you also checked the ecu for codes? If there are any that can also be the lead of your problem.

Nice looking engine, don't leave that filter there tho, waste of time having it if it's sucking in hot air.

Everything else has been said
