Question about BP swap harness
Umm anyone know and can direct me to a link, on how to go about taking out the wiring harness, preferably out of an escort, I have to go take mine out in a few days, and could use a step by step guide, any other info about the electrical part would be useful

Re: Question about BP swap harness
so it unclips right at the firewall, cause that would be hella easy, and Im guessing the wires from the firewall to ECU are the same for the BP and B6?

No, I think he means unfasten it from the firewall. I believe it goes through the firewall to the ecu, but still no big deal.

Re: Question about BP swap harness
still you know any guides, what I think you guys mean is, unhook it from the ecu, then just pulls those wires from the ecu? like through the firewall, on the engine side of everything, also can I just swap the bp everything for the b6 everything and not have to splice stuff?

Re: Question about BP swap harness
yes, it really is that easy. If you have a BP harness and ECU, take out the B6 stuff and put in the BP stuff and crank it up.

Re: Question about BP swap harness
I'm not too sure if the harness inside the car needs to be changed at all though.

Re: Question about BP swap harness
I'm very curious as to how this turns out, as I have a '96, and have a BP swap on my radar screen. If you can, start a worklog, or keep us posted.
