A while ago I had an rx7 and loved it, I drove a buddy's nb miata at a local autox and loved it. Then there was this sad little green 95 mx3 gs in the local honda car storage cage (mazda and honda dealers are owned by the same people where I'm from). It was in extremely good body shape (for Canada) no rust anywhere on the body save a small dent/scratch on the drivers rear fender. It has 220000km and hasn't been driven in 6 years and it shows.
I had wanted to fix the car up for my fiancee but it needs everything so no go. I told her about it and she saw it and thought it was awesome but too much to fix.
Well now a couple years since then I was getting warranty work done on my truck and that same mx was at mazda. I looked it over and they want $1200 for it! Kinda steep for a car that barely runs and most of the power everything needs tlc.
Fiancee tells me that rather than dream about someday getting a miata or 7 if I sell my 323 and don't spend over $1500 on the project after the 323 money I can do it (thats funny cause I'm the trained money manager but...). When my taxes come in I'm going to have to talk to the dealer a bit more. They told me it would cost 3-4k at shop rates to get it serviceable again but I have all the spare parts nessissary to take my 323 stuff put it in that car and put my 323 back to stockish. Yay for a cool summer project!
Now I need a trailer hitch for my truck cause I owe the fiancee a seadoo, ah the prices we pay for our cars
Thanks for listening
