Hello all, I am from CT in the USA and I just bought a 1993 Mazda MX 3, I love it!
It appears to be stock, but in great shape, it has only 74,000 miles on it.
I needed a good used car to get to work in, and this is a great little car. I had a few Mazda RX7's back in the day, but this one is really great, it corners like a cat on carpet.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and that maybe I will post a pic of it, and if you guys can shed some light onto the vehicle and if there are many perf gains to be had w/ mpg, I am thinking of a CAI would be a good start.
I am not into the racing/drifter thing, just trying to get for mpg since gas is $3.35 a gallon here and going up everyday buy a penny.
What is this car worth in USD?
Thanks and I hope to make some friends out here, take care and God Bless- Joshua

welcome to the board - sounds like you got an mx-3 with really low miles! You will find most of the information you need around the forum in the different categories and also using the "search" option will bring back some great info...

is your mx-3 an RS (4cyl) or a GS (V6)?

As far as the value you could go to http://www.kbb.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (kelley blue book)

OK, after reading your gas price, I will not complain anymore!

Mine is a 4cyl 5spd, I have found a few Cold Air Intake kits on Ebay for about $25, so I will try one to see if mpg is better w/ it, can't hurt, I have one on my 02 Dodge Ram 1500 QC(now you know why I wanted a small 4 cyl, only 14 mpg on that pig!)

I am also going to look into a cd player, the stocker casette player has to go!
The kbb value said it was about $2100 USD for low, $2500 for high, I paid $2800 and got a 30 day warranty or 1250 miles which ever comes first, new tires, brakes, axles and joints w/ new boots, not a spec of dirt anywhere on the car and the exh is tight too, not one sport of rust.
The car has a few small issues like the driver door mirror is cracked and the lcd for the radio is out. Other than that, I could not find a small 4 cyl car w/ low miles for this price around here.

All the cars for $2000-$3000 have 145k on them, I drive 25k miles a year for work so I wanted to get something that will last.
I will post a pic of it, it looks new!
Joshua

The body is mint, not once scratch on it.
The pics are a bit blurry, it was raining and some got on the lens, but I love the car!
I am getting about 28-31 mpg right now, I would love to find a trick to get 33+!

Here is a trick..
Add 2.75 ounces af Acetone to 10 gallons of gas. It lowers the surface tension of the gasoline molecules, so they atomise (mist) better, and therefor burn more fully. Not to mention, clean your entire fuel system. I have been doing it for over 2 years, and have enjoyed about 15% better mileage, and slightly better throttle response. You can Google "Acetone in gasoline" for many articles about it. The CAI will help, too.

OK, I will check this out, makes sense on paper,,,,,I looked on Ebay,,,,I can't find a CAI that looks like jovians,,,,the ones I found look like flex tubing,(like on a home clothes dryer exhuast), w/a pod filter,,,,,would like to find a nice solid pipe w/ boot.
Thanks! J
