clearing engine codes/ new starter? engine wont turn over

so im putting in my kl/klze (not sure which 1) and i think im done but my starter is doing nothing. do i need to clear my ecu codes. could that do it, i checked all my wiring and everything seems right, and the battery is almost brand new. it was trying yesterday but the battery was too low to acutally do it, i charged the battery and now this. any help?

there is a ground wire coming off of the distributor wire loom that needs to be grounded, sometimes my car doesn't start (like it almost has no power when i turn the key) and i have to wiggle this wire ( i have to ground it better).

where can i find this wire? color, size, location, anything?

its a little black/yellow wire that comes off of the distributor wire loom..

haha, funny thing about that wire, the previous owner cut it off at both ends. the only piece left it in the middle under a bunch of tape, where is the beggining and the end so i could replace it. and help[ would be apprieciated
