ok i know this sounds crazy but i know a guy that owns a mx 3 like mine "completely stock" V6 GS

no mods, nothing taken off to lighten it ...

and he swears he can hit 140 in his mx3 and i have never went past 125 mp/h

do you guys thing this is possible in this kind of car ... what is the " MAX " for this car before it actaully blows up .....

i've taken mine over a 150mph racing a crouch rocket or ricer rockets them again the MX-3 I drive isn't average MX-3 on the road. yes i know it was dumb of me to go that fast anything could have happen been lucky so far and im not about to push it again.



as for thr guy in to gs v6 have u seen under his hood maybe even check is not sporting a KL instead of a K8.

no its def. stock k8... im going to go take mine out later and see if i can beet his record on the highway

its impossible to hit 140...


i hit it with my turbo millenia ze and it got there FAST, i was doing 7k rpms already.


id like to see a video of a k8 doing 140 mph..

if your friend has proof.. youtube it.. thats the only way u can believe him.

i think it's safe to say that i dont lie about my car , and i've reached 146 mph ...
As i explained, i've done that once, because my hood start's to bounce a lot about 115mph ...
So i cant record it RIGHT NOW, but wait and you will see

My friend Paul hit 145 in his ZE.. I was unfortunatley in the passenger seat and can vouge for that. It was far from stock though.

i hit 154 in my ze (or something over 150)

140 @ 6600 rpm proof search m00neggs on youtube

stock gs tranny is at 140 mph at 7k rpms turbo ze here.


my other engines could not reach that high , dunno why? the kf was pratically new. Theres alot of things to consider, wind drag, road conditions. Outside temp. Its very hard to reach 140 mph on the stock gs transmission.


turbo gets there extremelly fast btw.

Are you sure he does not have the km/h speedo?

Guys , i have something important to tell you ...
i am on Mx3.com a long time, and everyone allways says that i should get a KLZE instead of upgrading my K8... there isnt so much of a diference on the 0-60 times, but i just saw a movie that showed me something really awesome:
My k8 takes from 60-100kmh about 4,5seconds, the same car with a KLZE takes about 2 seconds. GOD DAMN !
I am starting to save for a KLZE, joroentje is going to have a new buyier

everyone, here is something to help stop all these urban myths ...

this was done at a dyno ...

MX3 with very few bolt-on, stock tranny and a K8 ... this is the real speed, not speedo
( my car reaches the fuel-cut in 5th @ 7200 rpm .... i dont know why ... )

i can believe 140, my mx3 was entirely stock when i bought it with an endless long list of problems from a cracked air box to shot valves and a bad TPS but i still had it to 125 screwing around on the freeway. so anyone with a lot of work done should be able to do 140. and to those sayin the best a ze will do is 130, thats pretty sad if so. i had a stock acura legend that would screem 145 without a hitch so i would hope my mx3 will eventualy do better, if not i might get rid of it lol id hate to put that much work in a car if the best it will do is 130
