MX-3.com

Hey everyone. I got into an accident with my MX3 couple of months ago and im no longer an MX3 owner . What happend is this impatient dumb@$% tailed me and over took me on a horshose shoe turn and cut me off making me lose control. The road was wet so it was kind of like a hydroplane. I wish I didin't panic but I did, I tried steering the car straight without stepping the brakes but I forgot to step the clutch and the car just died out and I drifted into an embankment. The unibody is bent, the axle is bent, I had a hard time comming out of the car because the door was jammed. Insurance company claimed it totaled and I only got $500 back when I paid $12,000 for the car . But anyway heres the pics:

But other than that id just like to thank all that helped made this car a kick a** project. And especially chew who helped me alot on my spl system.

That was a sweet car.

$500? You were robbed! Aren't they supposed to pay you out for the value of the car?

So sad, the car was VERY beautiful, original MX design without spoilers etc. I like it soo much in the last picture. Good you're OK! Better to lose a car in your life than to lose your life in a car..

oh man so sorry for your loss - but at least you are alive! so how many mx-3's are left in Hawaii???

Thanks everyone.. Yeah it was very little money back.. Not too sure but they say to fix it would be more than what I have paid for it. There are several MX3s left on the island. Check out some more pics of the car at my myspace mx3 gallery:

That sux balls. They gave me like 2300 bucks for mine when I got hit like a little over a year ago and I got to keep the car. You should look into that it sounds like they just wrote you off.

OH now i just feel like a !!!!

I defantly got 4 grand for my old mx-3 from insurance. 92, terrible paint, no breaks, blown supension, 230k...haha

Anyway i hope you get back into the game some day! I defantly did, no regrets.

Yeah $1200 then so much goes to the insurance company or somethign like that and I only got back like $500- $700. I got most of my sound system equipment out though, I wish I could of took my rims out but my mom said just forget about that car already.. They must've crushed the car into that cube already .

I was thinking of saving up for another MX3 though, I miss the MX3 so much and it is going to be very difficult trying to get my 18" subwoofer in my new ride. What you think about this MX3? Do you think I should get it after I save up money?

I was going to tell you about buying my old RX-7 off the fool that bought it when I left, but then I saw the pic of the '8. Congrats! I miss drifting on the H1, and the Round Top drive on Tantulus mountain!
I laughed when I saw a commercial for a video game where you could be a bachelor in Hawai'i with nice cars, and hot women, because I was already there! I was a night club DJ/ Promoter in Waikiki.

Thanks. For my 8 im just going to leave it stock for now and save up money for another MX3. I was too attached to the MX, nothing can replace it. The reason why I like the RX8 is better safety and better handling than the mx3 had. Maybe an exhaust kit, Intake and headers later on. Sound system is in, The trunk is so small though. Im getting frustrated that I can't get any louder than 131.9 decibels of bass in this car.

yea u got robbed hard man I got rear ended by my ex ol lady and it bent in my spare tire housing and did minor bends to the frame I got $2300 and got my car back. The best part is my car never drove any diff after that so I never really fixed it lol. I spent the money on my ZE instead.

Thats alot of money. Why did the insurance company rob me then? ..

Oh and I see a black modified MX3 that goes down my street every once in a while they are killn' me.
