Hello all, I was wondering if a 1996 Bp sohc is any different then the first gen Bp swap. I know that it is a sohc but going to do a dohc change. Reason is that i can pick up the whole car ( Mazda Protege ) for 375.00

The B8 and BP both have the same block and internals. Just have different heads.

Just look on the front of the engine block ( exhaust side, by the freeze plug)
and look for the casting that says BP and you will be on your way.
