marshmallowy pedal and shifter

okay, in Canada, like always it seams, it is -25 to -40 degrees C.

brrr, really cold.

anyway, is there a better gear oil to use in these trannies when it is cold? it really shifts marshmallowy.(harder to shift into gear)

is full synthetic better? I am using semi synthetic right now...

also, the clutch pedal is also marshmallowy(kinda squishy when you press it)

is this normal, or can I do something to fix these ailments?

(I think it is because it is cold, because last week when it was warmer, I had no prob.)

well I would think the marshmallow pedal would be something you could help by using an SS clutch line and syn brake fluid...

I use 75w 90 full syn royal purple in my tranny and I have never had issues shifting...

it is somewhat normal for your clutch to feel a little heavier or squishy as you call it when the temps drop it sub zero because the fluids get more viscous until the car is properly warmed up.
i wouldnt worry to much about this unless your shifter does not engage the gears!
just from my experience as i have drivin only manual trannies since i got my licence...
