Just checking. When adding boost to the DOHC the standard way to do things is to modify the VICS so that you don't lean out. But, should it not be poss' to simply add fuel during the tuning process to adjust for the extra air in the intake mani and vise versa for when they open and close?
Just wondering... To me, they have to operate under specific conditions, all we need to do is narrow down the operating range and adjust our afr accordingly.

Re: DOHC intake mani
I know that jeff abrams on his V6 added a extra injector, that might do the trickRS_OBD'oh_2 wrote:Just checking. i ran my vics for ever on my 1.6 and its sweet, like a seccond powerban. but the truth was is i disconnected the vics and hung them wide open all the time and it was way faster. if your not running a piggy back or a boost sensitive FPR then you really need one of the two. it also depends on your injector size. but there is no need for an extra injector if your using a piggy back. you can adjust it to move more fuel in when the vics open at like 3800 or 4K i dont rember when they kick in for sure.
