Pushing the powerband

I have a 94 GS auto with pacesetter exhaust/prm intake. Its quite obvious in my car that i get the most power from about 4800-5500 rpm, but being that its an auto i'm only there for at the most 10 secs under 110mph. Is there anything i can do to broaden the band? My low speeds arent bad (i have the mx-6 tranny and i'm upgrading my tc). Also will the IAT mod listed on probetalk work with mx-3's?
