need help

I recently swapped a 2.5 klde from a 1994 ford probe into my 1993 mx3 gs. I swapped the egr and crank position sensor off the kl08 to the klde and all the sensors are hooked up. I am running the probe ecu and and vaf(cone thing) on it also. When i crank the car up it will idle pretty decent but when i rev it to about 3k rpms it sputters and dies. Has anyone else encountered this?
Also, if i got the probe ecu will the fans cut on since there is only one temp sensor?
