I belive this is called the EGR system and is found on the k8, but not on the DE. And this is one of the things I need to swap over since the wirering from the k8 stays the same.

This is connected to the exhaust next to it, some vacum sensors, vacum places and some fuel connections.

I thought this should be straight forward and it probably is. I just need some confirmation. When i dismounted the EGR-unit it revealed a hole with a gasket in to the head.
No trouble as there is a hole in the DE head too, but this hole has never bin jused. It wasn't plugged and there was no dirt in the duct as to a lot of dirt on the k8 where the EGR was.

Can I just put on the EGR and it will work or is there some sort of plug inside the head that needs to be removed?

Just hook it up...Theres nothing inside the hole plugging it. Also there is no fuel lines in the EGR system. There is Coolant lines that cool the egr valve.

Where did yiu get this DE from? did it come from a jdm engine importer? if the engine is not from japan then it would of had egr from the factory. Perhaps someone removed itr befor you got the motor.

I got it from tiger japanese.
I bought it as a KLZE direkt import from japan, but when it showed up it was a DE with the ZE curved neck manifold.

I guess I can expect some wierd mods

Also, as said in anither post, my oilcooling on the oilfilter is missing and plugged as it never where there.

Just curious to know why you went ahead and started installing it, instead of trying to get the engine that you actually ordered. Crooks.
