hey guys ive been on here a while but i thought i should start my worklog.

i bought my car in september of 05. first day i got the car it overheated coming off the highway, waterpump went and me and my dad replaced that and the radiator blew going down and hill. its been through alot, i do all the work myself except for machining.

as of right now i yanked the 12 year old engine out its a B6-ZE. had about 105k on the engine before the valves seals went, piston rings werent in great shape either so i rebuilt her once but the car ran like crap. never really found out why i did a crappy job and didnt do everything i should of. now im taking my time got a engine stand/and hoist. yanked her out ordered a complete engine kit, new pistons and crank. couldnt locate any OEM rods so im gonna have them checked out and if i can ill use them only running a stock motor. new clutch, recieved a new tranny from ryanlindberg( 8) ). the lady who had my car before me was a old women and gave it to her granddaughter who abused it. but now ive had it for 20months now. ill post pics when i get home but this is what my baby looked like when i first got her.

oh ya forgot to mention i was comparing some stuff yesterday.

when my clutch went out last year i bought a clutch on ebay, i was checking them out i had my old one and my new one that i had bought.

the stock clutch that was on my car actually weighed less and the clutch disk had more surface area and seemed to grip the entire plate on the pressure plate. the ebay clutch did not, weighed more and drove like crap. anyone else had trouble with their ebay clutch?

and heres the interior and dash almost totally ripped apart. man that dash and the front frame were pretty dirty and messy and just a hell hole trying to take apart and put back together.

after.

the plan was to go through and rewire everything and get everything setup for the next gen bp swap but money was tight and had to pay for college. so i just decided to scrap it and put everything back together and rebuild my b6-ze and make it a daily driver.

luckily for me ryan had a extra f series tranny laying around and shipped it to me very quickly

since my last tranny died on me after only 115k. the stock motor only lasted till 105k

i ordered a OEm kit from Importperformanceparts.net
oem pistons, rings, bearings, gasket kit, water pump, oil pump, timing belt. also got a new crankshaft but woe is me i couldnt find any oem connecting rods. i found out they were on backorder with no eta so im just sticking with my stock ones hope they last. ill keep you guys updated probably gonna start putting the motor together this week. cheers

depends if you bought a no-name or a brand... I bought an exedy off ebay about 3 years ago and I now have over 80k miles on it in my klze -no issues... even though I drive it like a maniac
