Everytime i go to put gas into my car there is alot of pressure that is released from the tank. I mean a lot of pressure, more than normal. I have read that high fuel pressure will cause bad gas milage and just needing to know what i can do to correct this problem.

thanks for hijacking my thread, should i be worried about this pressure build up? My car seems to stumble and run rough when it builds this pressure up but if release the pressure my car seems to run better and idle alot smoother. Is there something wrong with the evap system? How can i test this?

im sure this is normal a few of the cars i have owned have had pressure escaping when i take the cap off, this usually happens when its nearly out of petrol and it hasnt been opened for a few days
