Getting rid of the front license plate in Ontario

I've never seen much point in those. Is it so that you can read the plate of a car that is about to run you over? However, if a car is going to run you over and you have time to look shouldn't you jump out of the way instead of focusing on the plate. Or is it so that a passing cop can read it if you are doing something stupid, but wouldn't he/she then turn around and pull you over...

I hate front plates, alberta gets it lucky. To bad thier plates are nasty.

Front plates are not useful for identifying a fleeing vehicle, do not display insurance expiration tags, increase drag and reduce air flow to the engine. Add to that the cost of production and the fact that many vehicles do not offer proper provisions for mounting such a plate, it would seem pointless to require it. Pitch the plate.
