If you are a meth dealer from Quebec, I found your revolver.

So I went to the wreckers today to get a front bumper. When I reached inside the engine bay to get a hard to reach bolt I felt a ziploc bag. There was a loaded revolver double bagged sitting near the washer fluid reservoir. Apparently the car belonged to a meth dealer from quebec who dumped the car in a lake. The car was a flood right off.

So I turn the revolver in to a staff member, who takes it out of the ziploc, unloads it, and leaves quickly saying this happens all the time. I told his boss right after this but he hadn't been told about the gun. Apparently the guy I gave the gun to is an convicted felon out on parole who just started working at the wreckers two weeks ago.

This definitely wins for my craziest mx-3 experience. Can anyone top this?

The bumper was in great shape BTW.

Arm control is so severe, I live in Quebec and have never actually held a gun in my hands, lol.
I can't see this happening all the time.

That was the first time I've seen a handgun outside of a shooting range. It was pretty beat up, I don't want to think about what its been used for. The car was in really great shape, its a shame it was put in a lake.

Anybody that as ever worked as a mechanic or installer at a garage or audio shop especially in Montreal will probably tell you that it may not be as unusual as it seems, although finding it in a use of abandon car probably would. I've only worked as a part time installer and mechanic at a shop in MTL for the hell of it for the past 12 years and I seen a couple guns, bags dope, bags of credit cards and ID, print outs of list of people personal info and even a large piece of a marshmellowy looking substance wrapped in plastic that I recognised from a past job. The full time guys say this is nothing. The general rule is to "pull a Schults" I see nothing, I here nothing , I know nothing and don't touch anything. It does amazed just how sloppy some of these people are when sending there cars out to have work done on them. It's usually the lower case G's that are the worst at leaving stuff where it might be seen.

BONUS! lol...

not an MX3 story but realted... a buddy owns a repo biz in greater Detroit... one of his guys brought in a bling-ed out caddy with - get this - several thousand dollars, a couple ounces of blow and a loaded MAC10 in the trunk.

The repo man was given a temporary relocation to Texas and the proper authorities were called.

As far as I know the "owner" never came looking for his things. :D
