tick tick tick

Post by jrwiebe »

In the past couple months my engine has ticking very loudly. it is coming from somewhere around the timing belt or cylinder 1, hard to tell exactly, but its definetly inside somewhere. i took the top of and checked for loose cam bolts or timing belt (the belt looked brand new). my power hasnt been affected at all, the tick is just REALLY loud and annoying. any ideas?

most likely your HLA's, you can try a different kind of oil. i changed to mobil 1 synthetic and seemed to fix it. hope that helps or you could just be low on oil. make sure to check the level.

if it's coming from your timing belt cover it could be your timing belt tensioner going bad
