On the firewall of my 96 mx3 gs mtx there is a mitsu solenoid with a single vacume line on it. When i got the car this was capped off. Does anyone know what it is for?

I recently did a klze swap into my OBDII car and its proving to be hell to sort out the wiring and vacume systems.

On the firewall, just about right in the middle. That is for the EGR charcoal canister, which I would hope you didn't hook up. I know you Canooks have to E-Test, but they look for EGR here too. Just that most of the techs look for the charcoal canister, which I left in the car to fool them.

That cant be it. How would it work with only 1 vacume port on it?

This has to be a sensor of some sort. not sure what sensor though.

Speaking of egr, how do you guy hook up the egr on your ze? the egr has 3 lines on it. 1 small vacume line and 2 larger vacume lines that go no where right now.

LOL you have 2 identical threads going for the same issue... like tunes said, take a picture!

if you can't get a pic right back there, take one a little further out and circle what you are talking about or something...
