half of my key is stuck in the ignition

So i dont know how it happened but I should have made a new copy of my key it was kinda scetchy but i never thought it would break that quickly. Long story short half of my key is in the ignition and i have to use the other half to start the car. The car starts and i now can take out the top part of they key after starting my car
Anybody has any suggestiong on how to get the inch long piece of my key out of the ignition?

I think your best bet is a trip to the locksmith, I had this same thing happen to my old WRX once and got it out with wooden skewer and some super glue but I got really lucky.

I was hoping i could avoid that... Oh well I guess i'll have to call up some locksmiths

if you can get a thin peice of plastic and put super glue on the end and stick it in until you touch the key. if your lucky they'll bond and you'll bring the key out on the end of the plastic. try the end of a plastic fork or something

take a big sucked off magnet and see if that pulls it out
never know that might work
