My vote says no.

Does it have a SE sticker in the door?

Where are you located? If the car is from the US.. then no.. its not a SE. If the car is from Canada.. its possible. More info can be found about the SE model on the main MX-3.com home page.

Its possible someone swapped in leather seats. My se is US spec SE, they had some SE's released in US, even though it was 25th anniversary for mazda in Canada.

In the door jamb look up your paint code, see what it says, should have a letter and a number.

Canadian SE's came in Blaze Red, Laguna Blue, Brilliant Black and Raspberry Metallic. Thought I had seen a white one on the boards here a while back.. but I dunno if that was stock or not.

the US car can still be an SE, it will say on the door tag not advertized on the car like in CAN.

It's got the same wing as my SE... And leather interior... But the door panels look wrong to me and its got GS rims. I don't think you could get SEs in blaze red... could you?

My vote is that its not an SE, but the previous owner found some leather seats for it. You can probably get mazda to look up the vin for you to confirm.

Tunes: Yep, I saw your website and my interior and exterior appears to be identical to the one you show there. It appears to me that the door panels are carpeted in some areas. There pics are a little far away to tell for sure but do appear it is possible. That is what is throwing me off so much. I have studied your pics and descriptions and cannot come up with a 100% conclusion so I figured I would ask some of you mazda gurus. The previous owner of the car was a 17 year old girl so I doubt changing seats to be leather out of an SE would be her thing. Also, I am located in Phila, Pa area.

Mitmaks: I will have to check that tomorrow when I am in the garage. Do you know what I am looking for? I know the car was repainted 2 years ago so I hope the paint code sticker is still there. I remember seeing the sticker that specifies the tires size.

Body code

as of now the only thing you have it to be a Special Edition would be the seats correct?
my question is if you had a canadian special edition.. removed and painted over the decals, changed the rims and it was black or red do u not have a SE anymore? in all technicallity you could change everything on an SE and still stay its an SE with proof of the vin being originally an SE it should be a two way street

VIN decoder

Good point. Maybe it is just the seats but I am looking for a VIN decoder to try and find out what I can from the site. If anyone knows where one is available it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, VIn

Sounds good to me. I will assume it is only special addition to me. lol. I hope to get some slim visors soon for it. I think they really make these cars sharp. Thanks for your help.
