So i got mah kl31 cams!

Got them from rebel2k :D they look nice..

now the question since I have never EVER mnessed with cams before..


Ive taken the cams off but to put them back on is the trick!! any faqs on this? I kno0w of course to remove timing belt but to put them back? how do i know which one goes where? any tips? tricks? any bewares? I know th get the klde retainers, but also the springs? I am doing in within the next 2 months, not immediatelly.

MX-3 w/ curved neck millenia klde, boosted @ 5 psi. /bov and wastegate are good!/ nitto drag radial/ gutted interior/ millenia red top injectors, vortech fmu/aem wideband/ all bolts ons/ Car put together 100% by me. Mechanic? who needs a mechanic? ew.. real men work on their own cars!

First off grab the pages out of the shop manual and read them over and over. You can't put the cams in wrong its about impossible. You'll see when you get the valve covers off.

If you plan on trying to change valve springs and retainers in the car you might as well pull the engine IMO.

If it were me, just change the cams and don't worry about the retainers. Because a small percentage of people had issues with faulty retainers doesn't mean they are all bad. Just don't rev it like an idiot.
