I am looking to make the sunroof go straight in, above the headliner, under the roof. I will be welding the stock sunroof shut and putting in a new one to slide underneath, Yes i know this sounds stupid but I have a plan for show season 08 don't wanna expand too much. I know i will have to modify the track but I am wondering if anyone has ever tried this. Also if anyone has a parts car or even a chance (dont got my mx3 around right now) can you tell me when the sunroof is completly open, how much room there is between the bottom of the roof, and the headliner. I am figuring i have to put some spacers in there.
Thanks guys

Why would you want to do that? My maxima has that, but i prefer the mx3 sunroof over that anyday. I say replace it with some glass.. now there would be a project!

I would suggest trying to fit a "Moonroof" from anther car instead of trying to make the MX-3 sunroof act like a moonroof.
