its not really worth it, by the time u buy everything, u might be making as much as a klze.... for double the cost. of u want speed right away get a ze swap, if u want more speed but really want to boost it, get a klde from a mx6. they 're a lot better for boosting and cheaper then a klze.... my .02

Ze's work great for boosting : ) Run less boost and get more power..thats what i alwasy say. Just make sure you have something to stomp that detonoation due to high compression.

But i agree get a klde or klze. then if u want...boost it. But the k8...kinda a waste.

hey i have a 1.8v6 to eveyr one says oh jsut swap but from what i have read 1.8 can make 200h.p roughly...sounds good to me ...alot of people say t3 is good for 1.8l, running liek 5psi you dont need a intercooler..( correct me if im wrong ) with stock internals....im still new to this so i could be wrong im still reaserching

some of this im not posative about so maybe people can help me to

tubro-t3 , if you buy a used one might need an ebay rebuild kit
oil lines
melinnia injectors?
intercooler if you want
cold pipes off ebay
tubro headers( exhaustmanifold collect and downpipe)
boost gauge
turbo timer (optional)
depending on boost you want ...external wastegate
anything eils ?

look at the group buy section. There's a good list of what you'll need. It also includes a list of things that need to be modified before you can bolt on a kit. Use that post as a reference only!.
I know I've posted this list before but I'll post it one more time.
93 GS 1.8T I have over 30,000 miles on this setup, daily driver. I have over 180,000 miles on my car.

turbo: t3/t4 t04e 57 trim
wastegate: generic 38mm , external
BOV: generic greddy type S
TWM hot pipes.
generic AFPR
walbro 255lph fuel pump
220 cc fuel inj. from a millenia
8:1 generic FMU
Intercooler w/2.5" cold pipes.
boost gauge
narrow band air/fuel gauge
Millenia intake, phenolic spacers,60mm bored out K8 TB, - vris.
2 heat range colder ngk spark plugs gapped at 0.030"
2.5" mandrel bent exhaust w/ hooker header aero chamber 2.5" in/out
muffler.
homemade boost controller

I have only run premium fuel since adding the turbo. I also use semi synthetic oil, 10w30, changed every 1,500 to 2,500 miles,
I was boosting 10psi last summer for awhile then during the colder winter months I ran 12psi for about 3 months. I now have it set back to 10 psi for the warmer south florida climate.
I have stock: ECU, clutch,transmission,suspension,tires,axels,
This setup has not been dynoed. So any references to HP are just best guesses. I have been to the 1/4 mile and my best time to date is 14.3 at 105 mph w/2.5 60'. Its very tricky launching without wheel hop.
So according to those #'s I'd say I have at least 200 whp. but its still just a guess.
So to all those who ask if its worth it to boost there 1.8 v6? I say sure go for it. and if you should detroy your 1.8 then drop a 2.5 in there and just transfere everything over.
