new bp = Sweetly easy swap....
If your planning on using the stock axle and half-shaft with the stock F-series Trans (what i did) your going to have to either modify the half-shaft...or buy a new one that is 1/2 an inch shorter.
At first i modified the half-shaft... I welded an extra 1" to the right side of the mount and extended out the hole, then I Die-Ground the other 2 holes over right and dremeled new bolt landings...
Then My pass- outer most CV tore in jan and it toasted the bearing...so i got a new outer axle and had a shop match me up the half-shaft... I think it's from a Protege that had a F-series and a BP....So if you get that info you'd be SET...
By yourself with the right tools, a picker and a calm head it's an easssszzzzzzz swap...
only thing you have todo is unplug the fuel-injector harness from the B6 and put it onto the BP...Then plug in ALLLLL the sensors from the B6 and Zip-Tie them to somewhere...That just prevents the ECU from throwing a code and running in Safe-mode...
Although I still get a ghost code in 4th/5th cruising with little to no throttle for periods of time...

i'm running a B6 ecu...
I image i'd make another 20hp if i ran the BP...just because of the difference in the fuel MAPS....
But on open loop really all 4cyl motors "Could" run on the SAME exact ECU...the only difference is the pre-programmed injector and ignition timing, and AFR...
which is why we have Megasquirt, AEM, Greddy, etc Engine management units

He means to leave the sensors and solenoids plugged in - the new BP uses less solenoids in some respect.

I'm currently running the B6 EVERYTHING....from Distro to ECU only thing BP is the complete engine...
and it's making alot more power...as expected .... because it's melting the aftermarket OEM Clutch i have.... If i do like 5 or 6 - 1st gear to 2nd gear burnouts, letting the clutch slip down as the tirespeed comes up....it glazes the clutch and i have to cruise easy for like 500K.....
Aftermarket Stage 3 clutch here i come
