Your welcome Duncan...friends help eachother out.
Hope you enjoy the engine, but don't blow this one up!

I even helped you find this engine, man straight necks are becoming tricky to come across

to get the straight neck ZE intake manifold to fit i used the K8 throttle body abd ground part of the iac down just enuff to clear the bolt on the master cylinder the bolt is close but there is enuff clearance that it wont hit during shifting.. (grinding idea i got from mx3gsrfordummies) modding the engine mounts isnt necessary!!

intake loosly placed on the new ZE :D

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Your engine rocks, and yes, it rocks primarily forward but for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction--your engine WILL rock backwards with even more force than it's forward rock because of the spinning crankshaft. Bam, you nail the master cylinder and all hell breaks loose, or you cause a nasty fluid leak. I had a straight neck ZE in my MX3, so I'm not some newb posting garbage. Oh, the K8 TB is 55m, which will be a major restriction in your intake flow. I had my K8 TB installed for a while, simply because I was modding my KL TB. You'll see, you will lose a ton of power with the K8 TB.

ding ding ding to what is said above.

If you take your car to a dyno, watch the engine as you are shifting. Even with filled mounts, the ZE's here is GA rock like crazy.

That is not NEARLY enough clearance, my man.

well i have alot more clearance now i grounded alot more off safely.. i know a guy who did the same thing and hes been runnin it like that for years.. ill bet u i wont have any problems at all.. that pic was just a test fit not the end fitment if it hits it hits o well i got an ebrake lol and the k8 doesnt hurt power to bad i ran it on my de for months then went to my de one then back wasnt even noticeable at all besides ill get it bored out.. and no i wasnt in a rush ive been takin my time on it..

u just hafta see the clearance in the person that pic isnt even close to showing the clearance..
