A 3DCad Log Turbo Manifold

So i'm bored and i've started to buy things for a turbo 95+BP

Friend of mine's a welder and said he'd make me a mani if i gave him a print...he hates free-handing stuff...

So I made up this little piece of art :D

Just curious, but why are you putting the TB in the middle?

Turbo Exhaust manifold. Not Intake Manifold.
It's just designed like an intake manifold.

As per your question.... Although i'm not positive on this...

Having the TB mounted in the middle of the manifold seems like it would increase throttle response...The number 1 cylinder in our motor is the farthest from the TB in the stock manifold so having the TB closer to it (and to cylinders 2 and 3) seems like it would reduce the time it takes for air to go through the TB and into the head.

I believe some of the older stock honda motors ran a centered TB/carb...

I think it has moved to the end of the manifold now-a-days do to constraints on space under the hood...

I've hear that making the intake a cone shape (smaller at the far end)helps the air get to the far side more quickly and helps power for the same reason.

lol np.. And yeh... when you can't decrease the distance...increase the velocity..

I'll CAD that up sometime today..with an end mounted flange...I'm thinking 3" mouth with a taper to 1.5"-1.75" on the #1 cyl...

I personally dont like that design for an exhaust manifold. Way too much turbulence and un needed space for exhaust gas to puddle up.

The final Built Design will resemble but not be this...

My plan is to use 45degree angles to bring the runners together. With the end caps being much closer to the outside runners and angled in towards the riser...possibly even being part of it's mount.

Being self-taught in autocad i've yet to master angling things and having them union correctly...like i said... i'll be working on it...
