Back on January 30th I was contacted by "Tru Power Motorsports" to become a sponsor on the MX-3.com Forums.
He claimed he was not willing to pay a (reasonable in my opinion) monthy fee, but he would create a log of all sales he made to the MX-3 community, and pay me a percentage accordingly. As I had never dealt with sponsorship in this manner before, I was a little weary.

In any case, on February 22nd, I agreed to his proposal and let him begin posting. He posted many times in the wrong forums, which we (admins and moderators) had to move to the correct forum. He still continued to post in other forums as a vendor.

On March 8th I was contacted by a Honda Prelude owner from another website that had had a bad deal with him. Since I have been following the threads and have made the decision to ban tru Power Motorsports from being an MX-3.com sponsor, as wella s from posting on this site.

Here are some links to his way of doing business:
http://www.club3g.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84990" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.eclipseforums.org/fortopic213437.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.preludepower.com/forums/show" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... p?t=246505

My final decision I hope is justified, and if anyone has had any dealigns with him, please post here.

Regards,

Wondered how quickly that would come.

Seemed pretty shady from the get-go to me.

:?

You've got my support, Jeff.

hi guys i am the person who had the issue come up with tru power motorsport...i want to thank you for your hospitality at taking my caution seriously....these guys have forced me to take action against him with my c.c. company,pay-pal, and also file a clam with ic3 (internet crime organization associated with the FBI and the better business beru http://www.ic3.gov)....i have still yet to get my refund but my c.c. company has filed for a charge-back from pay-pal.....i don't know if you have read any of the threads that Jeff has posted but if your truly wondering about details it is all there at club3g....he has even flat out said "i am not giving him a refund"......again thank you and good luck with all your future on-line purchases

thanks again Jeff and i am glad i could help you guys not get riped off

I read the other threads, it seems that TruPowerMotorsports has some answering to do. After reading the threads, I've got to say that I am in favor of having dancing stripper pics in signatures....

wow what a mess trumotorsports turned out to be... I really hope nobody got screwed on this site by them.

I have to say, that one of the guys at trumotorsports has the most disgusting Escort that I've ever seen http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2081172 ... they look to be a bunch of kids trying to start a business they couldn't manage. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/626097/3

Don't see an mx3 listed as one of their rides... i guess they were lying when they said they were building an MX3 in their shop, and that's where most of their profit was going to lol.
