ive tried reading through all the post on the 4 cyl and i havent found a definitive answer to the question i have. will a 4cyl and 6 cyl atx tranny interchange? i know where a 6 cyl atx for $700 with a bad tranny is for sell. if they wont interchange anyone know where i could find a cheap one?

I think it will fit if you swap the bell housing - they are basically the same tranny with same internals but different bell housing i think. I dont know if the torque converter has to be swapped or not.
