Can you post pictures and videos of the non-90 degree kit?

I thought the 90 degree kits were to use two shocks? Also I was under the impression that removal of the fender was not necessary.

First off, pics and videos of the Non-90 Degree kits will be posted soon. I will also be posting the pics of the car with the fender on tomorrow.

Secondly, Jarid, I said fender removal was not necessary however it is much easier to install the kit if you remove the fenders. I said the kit could be installed without removing the fenders as those with molded sideskirts will not be able to remove the fenders. Plus, I wanted to take pictures and a video of the car without the fender installed so that everyone could see the kit and see it working.

Lastly, the kit was to use Two shocks, however by utilizing one higher powered shock, it makes it easier to install as there is one less shock to mount, and the one shock will have more room to move. Also, the doors on the MX-3 are much lighter than anticipated, so the one shock design will work perfectly.

My wife suggests that it would be good to see the operation of the door from inside the car.. both opening and getting out, and also getting in and closing it from inside the car

The molded kit people was my concern. I will have to take a look at my car tonite to see how you can bolt up the upper shock mount without taking my fender off as I will be installing the kit without taking off the fender. Thanks Kyle!

Hey, here are the answers to your questions.

Tempus : I will be taking video of us getting in and out of the vehicle (from both outside and inside the car) today. And when I get back from the shop I will post them for everyone to see.

Jarid : You could easily bolt the upper shock mount on simply by removing the lining in the tire well. However again as I stated, if you able to remove your fender to install this kit, then it is recommended as it will make things a lot easier. Also, if you could provide me with a list of how many people have molded body kits, that would be greatly appreciated.

ya i have molded skirts.. but i could care less if i have to take them off to put these on.

i do have a question, I didnt see any speakers wires on the door, will i have to extend the wires myself

Id guess you have to lengthen the wires. It looks like the door doesnt twist up from its original spot. Did that make sense?

Looks like (in the video) if he let go of the door on the way down it would slam pretty good.

Below are the answers to your questions:

1) You will have to extend the wires yourself, however, we provide you with everything you need to do this.

2) The door would not slam down if he let go of the door, this was tested today and the shock prevents this from happening. Also, the shock used in the test video is only 150lbs of force and was used for the test fitting, the actual 90 Degree kits that everyone will be getting will use 250-300lbs of force Minimum per door.

i'm real excited to get these now. one question though, why does he keep lifting and stabilizing the door with his had before getting in? shouldn't the shock be able to raise to door on it's own?
