There is alot of info relating to your question that can be found first in the FAQS on the index page and then if you don't find what you need, there's everything else in the search function. Good luck.

i read a few of the posts a little bit ago and none of them tell me what cars and their years i can get them from... as long as i get the donor car i can figure eveything else out by looking on the FAQs...but i need to know the cars first so i can get the car and get it ready for the swap in a couple months...
thanks

Why aren't you going with a BP?

Ya, exactly. You have a 92, so it should be alot easier.

People have swapped 4cyl's into GS's and V6s into RS's, so you should be able to find the information by searching. This info should be plentiful on the Protege and 323 communities if you can't find it here. But as for doing it, it'll probably be cheaper to BPT since you'll need to replace a fair amout of components under the hood, basicasically turning the RS into a GS. This swap is fesable is you have a GS doner car, or can get one for cheap, it may not be worth while. I think there's a thread with a shopping list of parts you'll need, try to find that and gather some prices, than decide from there.

well around here where i live you can find like 2.5, 2.3 and 2.0 like 10 to 1 compared to the bp...they are so hard to find around here and shipping to buy one out of state is like a rediculous price...i got my mx3 cuz nobody around here as one...i havent seen another one since i got my car about 7 months ago...so i figure why not put a 2.5 in....not many other people have done it...i like doing stuff that nobody else has or does...thats why i want to do the 2.5 swap...im very flexible with what i do and my mind can be changed very easy...if you guys have any good reason that i should go with the bp and not the 2.5 let me know...i still cant find on this site what cars and whats years i can get eh 2.5 from...

if you want to do the v6 swap - its not as easy as just finding an engine - you also have to find another mx3 v6 as a donor car (for radiator, suspension, mounts, crossmember, wiring harness, ecu, sensors, distributor etc etc.....).
Is it easy for you to find a 2.5l engine and a mx3 v6 donor car - or is it easy to find a BPT engine that will bolt on and produce as much power as a 2.5? Think about it.

93-94 MX6, 626 or Probe GT.
As i'm pretty sure the 95-97 models had OBDII.
You can use any G tranny from those cars, as well as the MX3 GS trans.

As well as the Mazda Millenia (*Not* the "S" model)

i thought the Millenia's where all OBDII?

But ya, they have the 2.5 as well...and they are pretty much a KLZE curved neck.

They are, but I though the reason why you listed those cars was for the motor, cause the drivetain and harness are the only thing we can really use, so their far from being viable donor vehicles

now that i think about it ariesdude...if the bpt can produce as much power and it just bolt s on for the most part what cars can i find that motor setup in??? i can look to find both motors and look at prices and stuff and see what the best deal is...cuz i know that putting the 2.5 in wil take alot of time and alot of wrenching to make the swap...if it would be easier to make the bpt swap and ill pay a little extra cash that would be alot better...what cars can i find the bpt out of...???
thanks

Search. You'll probably have to find a BPT on the web. Your other alternative is buying a BP engine and turboing that yourself. That's the cheaper alternative anyways.
