truth is the fastest FWD NA BP is the Ford Escort GT but it was only due to tunning, and i thing it was good for like 129HP or something. and the Mazda Protege was good for like 125

but if you want to get the best BP you will want one from a 99-02 Miata, i think there rated somewhere around 140, i dont rember for sure. its not hard to swap all the plumbing over to FWD from RWD, just bolt ons. your best bet would be to swap the wiring harness and ECU over as well.

just to let u know its been done i have 95 mazta miata BP that i converted to FWD form and i am thinking of getting a 99 and doing the same but thats time and money. time is what i don't have always working.

only thing about the 99 bp is the intake side is different then the older BP's u can just simply swa out the head from the older Bp and promblems sloved.

the best thing about the 99-00 or 04-05 msm bp engines is the head

you can use the older intake manifolds. it just takes notching out some of the bolt holes, and i think dremeling out one or two of the ports just a little.

dont youhave to get the crank sensor too?

if you dont want to do the FWD conversion, just get any old BP, and escort GT ECU, and the best flowing head.

its more to that then what u said. the intake ports are higher(99-02) than the older bp ports. iam just going to have to take a pic and show u what i mean.
