new problem arrived when engine is cold car hesitates something awful for example accelerating when cold engine gets to 3000rpm holds back then accelerates and carries on doing this till its fully warmed up. then when warmed up its alot better but slight hesitation at 3900rpm. the engine ping in the morning still happens but not everyday just once a week or so. cylinder flooding fixed by getting new dizzy cap, old one had 2 cracks. funnily enough they were at cylinder number 2 and 4 points on cap where the overfuelling/weak spark had been happening. this cold running problem has got worse since mazda had reset the tps and adjusted idle air screw. but surely they would know how to set them up correct.

one thing i learned is that a cold mx3 is a totally different car, so warm it uo before u drive it man, its even bad for the car. my car drives like s--- when its cold it even shifts funny and i cant even feel the VRIS so yeah maybe ur car has a bigger problem but warming it up will help a great deal

I believe that if mazda adjusted your air idle amount when the engine was running poor, When you correct the problem or replace the distributor, your idle is doing to be off.
