Ok, i tried searching and didnt find anything. So, does neone make a glass sunroof to replace the metal one or maybe one from another car that will work?

Search again, it's been posted. There isn't anything meant to directly replace it. Gro swapped in the glass from an EGT a while back, which is probably the closest you can get, but even then it's a little off. I'm sure you can find a glass maker who could make something to fit if he knows the dimensions.

i know there are universal ones, and there are shops that sell/make glass sunroofs too, but i am sure it will be kind of expensive and troublesome to have it done.

Apparently no one makes one and a swap tried by Gro Harlem using the closest one he could find (from an Escort GT) was workable but not satisfactory.

well, i dont want to use a glass sunroof that would be a little off. so i guess ill just stick with my metal one.

new topic: how about cutting out your own sunroof out of an mx-3 roof that never came out the factory with one? ... and then comes a glass shop who can custom-make a glass sunroof with dimensions in hand ...

i think it's possible illapino, because i have seen shops that do it, they put sunroofs on cars that dont have one, so i dont think it would be hard to do it on an mx3, but it would be pricey for sure.

try looking on ebay for sunroofs. there are people that sell kits for the ones that flip up and are removable. usually they come with a template for cutting the roof. from what i have looked at they seem simple enough to do, you would just have to comfortable enough with cutting the roof in your car.

well on this topic does does anyone have pics of the EGT sunroof in an mx3 interior and exterior. I'm kinda thinking about doing this.

I saw an mx-3 with a glass sunroof but thought nothing of it. I thought some of them came like that? guess I was wrong after reading this post.

my 94 rs hasa glass sunroof and i dont think it was cut out and put in and i know someone else who has a rs and it has a glass sunroof i like my power sunroof in my gs

i'm pulling my metal one and having a lexan window installed... i will probably get rid of all the wiring and motor parts as well.. jsut seal it in

That looks like an aftermarket roof, installed on an RS. In fact it looks highly similar to one I had on an late 80's Honda Accord (which was the car I owned prior to the MX-3).. you can tell from the thru-holes in the glass where the mount hinges and stuff.

(not that it looks bad, just doesn't look like a retrofit of the factory GS roof is what I'm trying to say)
