Turbo RPM?
Can anyone tell me what max RPM a turbo, or supercharger for a GS spins at?

Depends on the turbo there buddy but usually a turbo will spin at over 100,000 rpm give or take a few thousand. It really depends on how much boost it is making. You can figure out how fast it spins by compressor maps.

See those numbers on the map there.. Thats rpm.. Pretty crazy hunh?

Yeah... I didn't think they spun THAT fast! Thanks much!
Speaking of crazy...
The reason I was wonedring is.....
What if you could turn the turbo with a 2 stroke engine? You'd have all gain and no power loss.

Do you mean to have a turbo on your car but run it off a seperate 2 stroke engine? Im pretty sure thats what youre saying.
Well see, that little engine could only run the turbo at a fixed speed. Where as when you have a conventional turbo setup.. as you get a little bit of boost it makes more power which makes more exhaust which helps spin the turbo up faster which then makes even more power and so on.

Ya, a small stand-alone engine wouldn't give you a whole heck of a lot of boost (Hardly any actually). If you want a stand-alone device, I've seen leaf blowers give over 10hp gains hehehe (seriously). I guess you could try a super-charger on a stand-alone engine (That is pretty much what a leaf blower is).

Im a two stroke nut... I have a zenoah G230RC that spins at around 19,500RPM wide open....but when you put a load on it...it drops down a bit. I dont think it would push enough air to give the type of gains you are looking for...but I can get you a motor to try it if you want! LOL

If the 2 stroke is strong enough to provide boost, a device can be made to increase the 2 stroke's RPMs along with the receiving engine's.
Yeah, the leaf blower idea is what I'm talking about (although this is the 1st I've heard of it), but I assume it would work better hooked up to a turbo.
Cjthor, I AM just crazy enough to try it! I'll get ahold of you. If I can get it to work, it'll be my next million! I'll cut you a pecentage
