Turbo RPM?

Does anyone happen to know, or can anyone find out the max RPM that a turbo runs at? How about a Supercharger? I'm looking into the possibility of running one from a 2 stroke engine.
It sounds crazy, but so did the lightbulb at one time.

A turbo at idle is already spinning at about 10,000 RPMs. At full spool, you are looking at probably 140,000 to 180,000 RPMs depending on boost level, type of turbo, etc . . .

The only concern with taking one from a 2-stroke engine is the size. A turbo that can create enough boost pressure and not choke the engine at high RPMs from a 2-stroke will be hard to find. I don't know what size the turbo is, but if you could post that, we would be able to help alot more.

Thanks for the input. I didn't realize it was so fast! I don't know if the 2 stroke would have enough torque for that.
I didn't have a particular turbo in mind.
The idea is to power the turbo or supercharger with the 2 stroke engine to create boost for the car engine, so there's no power loss from exhaust backpressure, or rotating resistance on the crank.

Why post this 2x?
