fibreglassing spare tire well

I don't get how this works. Do you fibre glass the metal bowl? And how do you wire it up to your deck from there? How's the sub placed and the amp can go in there too if it's vented? And you can cover it with a baseboard again and put stuff on top of it? Pictures would be awesome just to see what it looks like! Thanks and sorry for all the questions.

Line it with a non stick material what wont break down from the heat of the fiberglass resin. I think tin foil is common. You can tape it together to stay, but you dont want to tape the foil to the body under where you can't get at it after. Could even look into dynomat-ing it before hand

Just like any regular subwoofer setup. Your fibreglassing the spare tire well as the bottom piece to seal the sub. You'll have a top piece as well, which you can make out of anything you wish, but the top piece is that you'll be mounting yous sub usually. You can easilly run the wires under the top piece/above the bottom fiberglass well.

The sub will be suspended above. The fiberglassed tire well is be the other portion to the sub "box". Subwoofers are usualyl sealed and/or with a port. Basically your creating a rounded box. You could do this directly with the spare tire well if you want, but you can't remove it. The point of the fiberglassed spare tire well is that it's a box that's "molded" to it, so it fits perfectly, but removable.

As for amp, if you have small enough subs, you can, why not, but it'll be a fitamen issue. What you could do is make a "false floor" A floor raised a few inches above the stock trunk floor just enough to fit the amplier. That's common, usually with a flexiglass window to show off the amp, and a few small fans to help air flow. Could even just mount the amp externally to the tire well, like to the back of the rear seat, your choice.

Sure, why not? There's no instructions, your imagination is the limit. More likely the subwoofer cone will be exposed (you can't seel it 100%, you need something that'll move air). Could just cover the speakers with a grill to protect it, and even a thin cloth to stop small fragments from getting to the cone and potentially damaging it and help conseal it.

The type of project your requesting is something where there is no set instructions, just a guide-line on how to fiberglass the spare tire well, the rest is up to you and what you want to do, the only hard part is learning how to fiberglass.
